Simpler Way to Clear Local Storage used by Web Console on Firefox

Greetings.

I was unable to clear out the settings for the webconsole (https://openremote.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/openremote/workspace/richturner/WebConsole_2_0_0_template@5567) on a recent version of Firefox. It looks like the console is using Local Storage to save this data and that I could delete it by clearing cookies "from the beginning of time" (which my client didn't want to do) or using the SQL Lite Manager Firefox Add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/sqlite-manager/?src=ss) as described in http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/764893, but this is really complicated.

I would really like a button on the settings that are exposed on the left of the screen to allow me to enter the configuration parameters (controller URL, panel name, username, password) again.

Also, we needed to click refresh after clicking rotate in the sidebar in order for an orientation change to take effect.

    Hi Andrew,

You are right that the Web Console makes use of Local Storage or falls back to cookies if local storage isn't supported.

The goal is to have a settings screen which will allow you to perform various tasks including clearing out the cache.

The Controller settings screen that displays at the moment was just a temporary solution to allow for testing and things will change (more in line with Consoles on iOS and Android).

If you need to change the controller settings just hold down on the background for more than 2 seconds and that will take you to the settings window to alter the controller URL.

Can you give a bit more detail about the rotate/refresh issue please?
